Range of face masks available
The CDC recommends that people wear masks in public settings and when around people who don’t live in your household, especially when other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain, as masks may help prevent people who have COVID-19 from spreading the virus to others. They are most likely to reduce the spread of COVID-19 when they are widely used by people in public settings. Masks should NOT be worn by children under the age of 2 or anyone who has trouble breathing, is unconscious, incapacitated, or otherwise unable to remove the mask without assistance.
Clear anti fog visors
Our visors can be worn with or without eyewear protection and face masks. They include a PU foam headband for long-term comfort with an elasticated strap. The lightweight design protects the face and eyes from splashing or spraying and are all manufactured to standard: BS EN166:2002.
Nitrile & disposable
Gloves protect our hands from infection and contamination and should be selected based on the hazards involved:
- Nitrile gloves protect against most chemicals and infectious agents (ideal for protection against COVID-19
- Rubber gloves protect against mild corrosive material
- Neoprene gloves protect against most solvents, oils, and mild corrosive materials
- Avoid latex gloves as many people are allergic or develop allergies to this material
Using eye and face protection should be prioritised during procedures that generate splashes and sprays or when prolonged face to face proximity is unavoidable. If eye protection is to be reused, it is important to ensure appropriate cleaning and disinfection between uses. Eye protection should be discarded if damaged. If it is dirty or difficult to see through it should be replaced.
Safety Hi Viz items
Hi Vis clothing
The main benefit to wearing hi-visibility clothing is the safety it offers its wearers. It is proven to prevent accidents and fatalities in potentially dangerous environments, especially where there are large vehicles moving around, such as construction and industrial areas or where there is a restricted light source.
Various scrubs available
Today’s scrubs come in a variety of comfortable fabrics, and are available in a variety of colours. They are made to provide maximum comfort and manoeuvrability, enabling nurses and others to be easily identified and perform their tasks without constraints. Scrubs also come in shapes and sizes to comfortably fit any body type. Colour-coded trim can be added to easily identify sizes.Medical scrubs are lighter to wear and made of protective fabrics that safeguard against bacteria and other types of infections – essential for both patients and staff. Scrubs are designed with materials that are more resistant to dirt and grime, and are easily laundered to sterilise and remove stains, and other grime that is picked up throughout a shift.
Range of shoes and boots
Protective, safety footwear is essential to ensure safe and healthy feet. Steel toe boots and shoes protect your feet, help prevent injuries to them, and reduce the severity of injuries that may occur in the workplace, such as:
- Objects like stones and sharp nails piercing through work shoes
- Falling of heavy objects on the feet
- Careless use of heavy-duty construction equipment and vehicles
- Sprains and fractures due to slips and falls
- Electric shocks
